I am a firm believer in the idea, “help enough people get what they want and you will get what you want.” The reason for this article is to do just that… I am hard pressed when it comes to being a happy customer. The reason for this is my expertise in customer service has raised my standards. There are a lot of things to consider when evaluating a business. You will want to consider first and foremost the level of customer service, next is follow thru (how consistently they do what they say they are going to do when they say they are going to do it), and lastly diversity.
With the aforementioned having been stated, I want to say that “Nick’s Auto Repair” is a small business in Albuquerque New Mexico that is owned and operated by an ASE Certified Master Mechanic by the name of Nick Gongora. Nick works on ALL makes and models. There isn’t a single car that he can’t diagnose and fix. He has been a mechanic for 11 years. During his auto mechanic career he has worked for many different dealerships including a National Car dealership “CarMax”. During his career there he received the following certifications: Hybrid, Advanced Diagnostic, and HVAC.
So what does this mean to you? Well given you made it this far into the article we can sum this up into one phrase, Your Most Ideal and Reliable Mechanic! I feel confident in saying this about Nick because I myself trust no one else with my car. I have been taking my car to him for the last couple of years for general maintenance and when those inevitable major things happen. Anyone knows who owns a domestic car that after so many miles things just start going wrong with your vehicle. This can happen for any vehicle for that matter. It is nice to know that you can call a reliable and trusted mechanic to come to your aide when you need it most.
What is more is that Nick offers mobile mechanics. I have in times past purchased some cheap clunkers and taken them to him to get fixed up so I can sell them. Most of the time it is just a tune up, however I can say that there have been a few times when I have purchased a vehicle found myself stranded and had to call him to come to my aide. If what you have read up to this point then let me add this. His prices are BEYOND fair and he will look at your car for FREE prior to doing any work, simply to let you know what’s needed. Nick has never up charged on parts and often times will get you any discounts he gets for the part. As a mechanic he often times gets discounts of 10% or more, based on the amount of volume and business he brings to various parts stores. He is also very familiar with what parts are going to perform best, based on name brand and freely shares the info, should you feel more comfortable purchasing the part yourself.

So the question stands, “What is social media all about?” This is a very simple answer, but it has a lot of components tied to it. Social Media is about People connecting with other people, tragedy, memories, family, and the list goes on! The next question to ask is, “how is social media impacting us as a people, culture, race, population, and human beings?” Now more than ever we are able to connect with one another in so many different forms of social media and for so many different ways, and no matter how you ask it, the answer is that it’s changing our lives! So let’s talk about how!

The first thing I am going to encourage you to do is to plug in to this short video that puts things into perspective.

Every time I watch that video I get the goose bumps!!! So let’s take a look at how this “Social Media Revolution” Impacts our culture. I am going to start with how it affects our personal lives. To start let’s take a poll. If you have a facebook make a mark, if you have a twitter account make a mark, if you have a YouTube account make a mark. Those are three of the major social media platforms on earth. People from all over the world have at least 2 out of 3 of those accounts, and if they only have 1 of the 3, chances are it is a facebook account. Every day most people will post at least one thing to facebook and on average, most, are posting up to three. People are “checking in”, telling the world what they are doing at 2AM on a Friday night, sharing their pictures of loved ones… you name it, and it happening. So why is this important?

I personally see this as an avenue of opportunity. I see business’ marketing and advertizing on these social media platforms on a daily basis. If you don’t think so, YouTube or Google your favorite restaurant, and I bet that if you don’t find at least a YouTube video you will find a facebook profile or fan page! The amount of money that exchanges hands thru the internet is viral! If there is one thing that hasn’t been hit by the economy, it is online sales! So this is a wakeup call for ALL business owners. If you still want to be in business in the next 5 years it is important YOU understand how to market using these social media networking platforms!! People that are connected to people that recommend things are more likely to buy a product, than if they only got an advertisement. Let me say this again! People that are recommended a product by someone they know are more likely to buy it as opposed to buying that same product after seeing it advertised. So the first and most important thing to ask yourself is, “how am I taking advantage of this social media revolution?” If you are not… well I can say one of two things, 1) Thank you for not posing any competition for me (joke lol) 2) You will be kicking yourself if you don’t plug in NOW!

There are so many different ways to make money online! You can do a search for “how to make money online” and you would get bombarded with people trying to sell you their products. Everyone will want to tell you how to make 10,000 in 30-45 days with just a 10$ buy in. So I think it is important to be careful where you look when searching for a way to make money using Social Media. Will M2M put me Out of a Job? In today’s world people are trying to find extra ways to become efficient in their business and make more money with less overhead. It is important to know what machine to machine is and how it will impact you! There are a lot of different benefits to machine to machine, and there be a lot of concerns raised on the other side of the spectrum. We are going to contend what you need to know about it and why it is on the front of leading technology companies agenda.

What is m2m? Is a technology that enables systems and devices to talk to one another with the same ability! What this does is enables these devices to get and/or relay data or events from one machine to another such as inventory levels of products in a vending machine to a vendor, so that they know when to send someone to refill it. Or the same vending machines to send diagnostic events, like malfunctions, inventory levels, and temperatures to that same vendor to increase the effectiveness of that machine. It uses a language that called telemetry. In times past they used to be called telemetry devices, and one device would communicate with only one other device, however, like any technology, it has improved and now one device can communicate with multiple devices. It is like a network of machines communicating with one another. It uses SMS to transmit the telemetry information from device to device. The best practical example is RED BOX MOVIES.

Who actually started M2M, the true commencement, is very hard to pinpoint, but it came into actuality in 2000 and had a turning point in its use in 2009. A few wireless companies decided to partner in the use, augmentation, and deployment of this technology in the U.S. and Europe. Since then more and more companies have seen the potential of m2m and now are jumping on board, using it to increase productivity, efficiency, as well as reduce labor costs and continuing costs of operation. Now it is projected that the number of m2m connections will be approximately 187 million by or before 2014, which is 2 short years away! This speaks significant growth for this technology in just 14 short years.

So what does this mean for me? Well there are many contrasting viewpoints regarding M2M, however while this technology is great for business productivity and efficiency, at the same time it is replacing a lot of the man power and labor that is/was just not as efficient. This enables businesses to become more profitable which is good,but it cuts a lot of jobs of the working class which is bad. So the rich get rich and the middle class gets eliminated. The example I like the most is Red Box. Why? Well there is a red box on just about every corner. They are in grocery stores, Wal-Marts, pharmacies across the nation. They are great because they provide quick, easy, and instant access to cheap movies and video games to rent or buy. On the opposite end of the range are the movies stores (i.e. blockbuster and many others) that have not been able to compete, and simply gone out of business. well at least in my town. These companies employed a lot of people from high school part timers to business professionals that were store managers and/or franchise owners. Just the other day I heard that block buster has a similar product that mirrors the Red Box.

So this puts the rest of us in a situation where we have to find alternative ways to make a living. If it hasn’t impacted you yet, don’t be surprised when it does! Today I want to talk about Numismatists, what they are, how you know if you are one, what they do, and are they just collectors or are they connoisseurs. I think it would be best to start with the History of a numismatist. If you were to do a search on “Numismatist”, you would more than likely come up with the term Numismatics, which really defines what a numismatist does, which is: study and/or collect coins, paper money, tokens and so on. Majority of numismatists collect coins from around the world, however they may go above and beyond to the extent of studying currency in general. Now a lot of you may be thinking, “Aaron the only thing I do with coins is put them into a soda pop machine, or a vending machine when I need a snack.” Well that’s all good and dandy, but the coins that I am talking about are a little different. So let’s begin the journey.
I want to start by saying that at one point it was illegal to stock pile SILVER and GOLD here in the united states, however if you had numismatic coins, or world coins that had collectors value, even if they were made of pure silver and pure gold, you were in a loop hole of that particular law. How many of you know that if the government wanted to seize any stock piles of GOLD or SILVER at any point for a national emergency or something along those lines, you would actually have to forfeit it all? That is unless of course they had collectors value, a “Numismatic” Value. “So if I am hearing you correctly Aaron, that means if I have a bunch of silver US bullion and the government wanted to seize it they can?” That is right ladies and gentleman. This is why I am talking to you today about Numismatic Coins.
Numismatic Coins come in all shapes, sizes, and grades. Coins come from top government mints, which will mint pure gold and silver coins and then circulate some and hold some.  Then they can be “Graded” and sometimes even encapsulated to maintain the condition of the coin. Now there are a lot of differing opinions on what coins to collect and what the values are. I am not an expert on it but I would challenge you to do some research for yourself and see what you come up with.
So maybe you’re thinking… hmmm I wouldn’t mind having a garage full of GOLD or SILVER that has NUMISMATIC value!! How someone who is interested in something like this get would start Aaron? Well there are a lot of ways to embark on the journey of collecting world coins. My recommendation is to look for top graded coins, because they will be the rarest, and hold the most value. Okay so by this point you should have completed your homework which was:
1. Research some MLM companies
a. Looking at their compensation Plan
b. Looking at their Product
So how did you do? Okay so I imagine it went one of 2 way… you were bombarded with sales people who told you how their MLM product/service was the best and how their compensation plan was so stellar, or you had a hard time finding much of anything. You may have also run into the “negative light” that says how MLM is a scam. Well when Amway was sued they were able to prove that it was in fact not at all as they were providing a tangible product and they won the lawsuit. I Just wanted to clear that up. So now that we have done our homework lets talk about one other thing to consider and then I will provide you a tool that you can use to get some real research on MLM companies done.
So the third thing to consider is the training you will receive from your MLM company. Now understand that there are 2 parts to this. First is the actual training and Second is YOU. That’s right YOU! Its one thing to have an amazing set of industry leaders that have really done well to set up a step by step plan of action for you to be successful, which by the way – you need to be looking for an MLM that does just that, but it another to have a person that tries to re-create the wheel. By that I mean someone that ties to do something other that what has been proven to breed successful Business owners in the MLM you decide to join. So you may be saying, well Aaron that sounds good, however I don’t know what to look for when it comes to training… I will tell you. First thing is you want to look for training that has step by step action plan, and you will also want to look for training that postures you as a leader. Posture is a big deal in an MLM. You will also want to look for training that will give you the tools to overcome obstacles in your business, i.e. running out of leads or not having much of a warm market to work with. Next you will want to look for training that has a diverse portfolio of methods on how to create a successful team. You don’t want a one trick pony. Lastly you want to make sure that your Upline is going to be readily available for any questions you may have. Lets face it you are starting a business and will have lots, and there is nothing worse than having an Upline that either doesn’t answer your call, email, or text or when they do they don’t have an answer or know where to find the answer.

Okay so now that you understand that multi level marketing works and that not only does it help you to create a residual income, it also helps others around you become successful, let’s talk about what to consider prior to joining an MLM company. I will warn you that every MLM agent, distributor, or representative will praise their company up and down and talk about how this company is the “best MLM” and how people are Knocking down their doors to get put on auto-ship. Those are the people that are usually desperate to sponsor someone and more often than not they aren’t making money. I am going to tell you the 3 things to consider prior to getting started in any MLM. I will also provide a useful resource so that you can get 3rd party non-biased facts on all the MLMs out there, and there are thousands. So are you ready to get started? Okay.

The first thing to consider is the product. Now you may come across people that say the product doesn’t matter, but it does. You need to look at the demand of the product. By this I mean that you have to identify if the product is a practical product that people will either desire, want, or use. Next you will want to look at the competition of other MLMs or companies selling such products. If you have steep competition for the product, weather its other MLMs offering similar products or other non-MLM companies offering slim products, then you may have a difficult time not only selling the product but also sponsoring other distributors. It is important that your product has real value and that it isn’t offensive to anyone. It helps when your product has a wide market as well. You can try to offer a product to a smaller targeted market, however it will be challenging. Okay so now that you have the basics on the product let’s move on to the next thing to consider.

The next area that you will need to consider in your MLM is the Compensation plan. This is of course how you are going to get paid. Now there are a lot of different compensation plans out there and they can get really complicated. So let me break it down as simple as possible. Most comp plans have legs, a left and a right, and most of them require you to sponsor so many people under you before you start seeing any type of compensation. These are usually the MLMs you will want to avoid. Find an MLM that starts paying you right away. If you can find an MLM that you like that has a coded match bonus these are really good MLMs to get involved in and are usually pushing out the most top earners. Plain and simple is that if the compensation plan doesn’t make sense from the beginning and it is confusing to understand, then just move on to the next mlm.

At this point we have gone over a lot of information and there is more to consider. I want you to take things one step at a time and avoid getting overwhelmed. Trust me it is easy. I will provide a part 2 for Multi Level Marketing – Things to Consider. For now I want you to start looking into some MLM businesses and look at their products along with compensation plan. DO NOT JOIN ANY JUST YET. Take this as your researching opportunity. If it is a business worth its while then it will be there when you are ready. So get started and stay tuned for part 2. This is Part 2 of Multi Level marketing. I feel that it is important to understand why MLMs have gotten such a bad rap in order to overcome the objection and succeed. But we must first take a look at where MLM started and look at its history first! The first recognized form of MLM was back in 1945 with a vitamin company in 1945 called Nutrilite, their comp plan basically allowed a rep with 25 regular customers to recruit new agents and draw a 3% commission off of their sales. Since then the Direct Selling Association reported that in 1990 25% of their members used MLM, and then in 1997 it reported that 77% used MLM with some now very well known companies, and in 2009 it’s reported that 94% of the DSA members were using MLM. That Is Huge! This shows that MLM was growing because it works.

Now like we talked about before the majority of people fail in MLM because they either did not have the discipline or they didn’t have the warm market. So at this point you should have seen the webinar that talks about how to create a warm market, but if you haven’t you will have an opportunity to get access at the end of this article. So let’s assume that you have watched the webinar and you are on target with creating a warm market. Other things that cause people to fail are that they are swayed by what other people say. You have to understand that anytime you try and do something new to become successful in your life you are going to have the “Debbie downers” the “haters” the “nay-Sayers” the “critics”. Let’s be honest folks, if you aren’t solid and sold on what you are doing, let me say that again, if you don’t have a solid foundation and are not 100% determined to be successful, if you don’t have a spine to stand for what you are doing… I promise you that you will fail. A famous man that I know once said if you don’t stand for something then you will fall victim to everything.

Okay so now that you are working on your warm market and you are solid in your business venture then what? Well the next thing you are going to do is get a game plan for how to take the business to the next level. That same man that I referenced earlier stated that people never plan to fail, the just fail to plan. So what is your plan for success? Now most MLMs have a game plan and training to be successful, given you have the time money and warm market to succeed. So what are you waiting for? How many times have you heard that the best form of advertising is “word of mouth”? Probably A LOT! Let me ask you this, how many times have you tried a new restaurant or gone to see a movie, or checked out a store because someone told you about it? Your probably thinking, “well Aaron I have never really kept track of that.” LOL. My guess is that a majority of you checked out that movie, restaurant, or store because someone told you about it. Not because you saw an ad, as if we don’t get bombarded with those enough, but because someone you know said you should try it or check it out, or simply they told you how much they liked it, whatever the “it” is.

So why Multi level Marketing? Well you have answered the question for yourself if you are the majority that we talked about above. Multi Level Marketing is a “marketing strategy” where the sales people get paid by the sales they generate, and by the sales that the people they recruit, to be sales people under them, generate. Let me go a little further with this. The strategy uses what is called “relationship referrals” or as we know it “WORD OF MOUTH”. That means that someone had a great idea to capitalize on the most popular form of advertizing. Ingenious isn’t it!? You just proved that it is! How do you figure Aaron? Well you just said that majority of the time when you try or do something new that you have not heard of before it is because someone told you! Multi Level Marketing Lets you CAPITALIZE on that! Yes I know its Awesome.

So why all the negative? I am sure that many of you have heard a lot of NEGATIVE about Multi level Marketing. “it’s a pyramid scheme” or “they never work” or even worse “they come up with these types of plans to generate billions of sales and take advantage of the little person while doing so, and they never actually pay you more money than what you put in!” I laugh at that one because my dear friend, whose name I won’t mention, almost outright argued me to death about how I was making a grave mistake getting involved with a Multi Level marketing company. But let be honest, if you never made any money in an MLM it is because either a) you were not used to being an entrepreneur and did not have the knowledge of how to do it b) you gave up to quick or c) you didn’t have enough discipline to keep at it consistently and long enough for it to work. I will admit it because I was one of those people! You mean you tried MLMs before and failed!? Yes I did, Quixstar, Pre-Paid Legal, Primerica, and a vitamin company as well. I can’t remember the name of it. And I made the same mistake that all the other business did and failed with in the first few years, heck with in the first 6 months or less.

So what the point Aaron?! I am glad you asked. I didn’t fail because I didn’t have

training or the motivation, it was because I ran out of people in my warm market and I didn’t have people show me how to create and endless stream of leads, probably because the either didn’t know how or because they didn’t have the same problem as me and didn’t have a need so therefore didn’t need to create a solution.
